Ritienne Zammit was the last show of Malta Fashion Week 2017 and it was a fitting end to the week-long celebration of fashion in Malta. Ritienne presented a collection that strikes a cord with many fashion die-hards. As a designer, Ritienne is renowned for her eclectic work and her prints and she provided excellence in both these areas. However, in spite of her work being eclectic, the clothes are wearable, incorporating modern trends and features that makes them feel very fresh and relevant. Her wicked use of bright blue added a surprising jolt of pleasure to the pieces. The inspiration for the collection was Valetta, Malta’s capital city, Valletta is one of those places where there is something new to discover each time you visit, although small, the city holds so much character, so much history that inspiration is everywhere. A highly interesting collection from a highly interesting uncompromising designer.
