Wedding Bells, top designer brand in the Faragé Fashion Group portfolio, presented the Anna Romysh Haute Couture collection on a beautiful carpeted runway atop Fort St Angelo. This was a very special event for Mercedes Benz Malta Fashion Week, as Anna Romysh herself was present for this show. Guests dressed dapper and dainty, mingled and snapped selfies as they waited for the show to begin.

The show began with a sexy floor length gown; silk panels in front and back while the sides were both sheer- silk embellishments climbing up the sides, across the bust, over the shoulders and around the upper and lower back.

Following contrasted the first look with a short off-white silk dress. A deep v-cut was covered by layers of lace across the chest. Adornments of feathers and bows gave the little dress an extra girly touch while the tulle cape gathered around the neck, adding a majestic touch.

Silhouettes in this collection varied from dress to dress. We saw beautiful silky trumpet silhouettes and lace adorned mermaid silhouettes; some tiered and some tight with tufts of tulle peeking from the skirts. Ball gowns and A-lines brushed the floor, covered in silk and lace with giant tulle skirts to add that volume that we ladies love so much.

Necklines for every body shape were incorporated into the designs. Silk and lace embellishments spread across a sheer form fitting halter gown as they competed with the Swarovski crystal waistband for the center of attention. One-shoulder dresses provided a platform for bygone lace patterns to crawl across the fronts of several gowns, wrapping over the shoulder to the back in an elegantly bohemian manner. Illusion and Queen Anne necklines opened up the space for the designer to show off her sheer sequined fabrics and her lovely use of lace.

The details in these gowns were truly magnificent. Swarovski crystals dangled from the nape of the neck on several gowns; some with large crystal decals and some, long thin chains. Crystals decorated the waist around one dress, while another lengthy gown displayed a cluster of luxurious lace flowers, surrounded by beading and sequins twisting in a cascade from the model’s skinny shoulders down to her lower back. Sequined corset tops revealed boning and skin, covered in pearls, crystals, lace, and silk adornments. The top yoke of one sleeveless gown wrapped around the neck and gathered at the rear, exposing the model’s back. A great Gatsby inspired off-white gown showed a super sexy V-cut down to the waist where enlarged vintage lace wrapped around the body. The lace fabric was ruched across the rear leading into a short thin train.

But which was the statement piece of the collection? In my opinion there were two. A gown that comes in separates stole my heart. A lingerie inspired pink lace top, gathering just below the bust was paired with a big tulle ball gown skirt- simple, chic, and enticingly luxurious. The dress that closed the show was a white ball gown with an enormous tulle skirt, covered in lace detailing and crystals. An opaque lace corset carried lace detailing over the shoulders and a long veil trailed behind the heavenly creation.

These unique couture gowns are created with exquisite materials, lace, and embellishments, making them luxurious one-of-a-kind pieces. By incorporating traditional wedding gown silhouettes with more modern, dressmaking details, this designer is able to create unique elegantly daring dresses.
