Valletta, Malta – July 7, 2023 – The grand finale of Malta Fashion Week 2023 unfolded on Day 5 with a triumphant showcase of talent, style, and creativity. The event, attended by esteemed guests such as Hon. Clayton Bartolo MP, Minister for Tourism, witnessed three remarkable catwalk shows that left the audience spellbound. Italian designer Elisabetta Rende, local sensation Gagliardi, and the celebrated duo Charles and Ron presented their captivating collections, followed by a glamorous afterparty sponsored by Campari.

Hon. Clayton Bartolo MP, Minister for Tourism, Graces the Event

The presence of Hon. Clayton Bartolo MP, Minister for Tourism, added further prestige to the final day of Malta Fashion Week. His attendance showcased the government’s recognition of the importance of the fashion industry as a cultural and economic driver within the tourism industry, and its commitment to supporting and promoting local and international talents.

Elisabetta Rende: Italian Elegance and Flair

The evening began with an exciting show by Italian designer Elisabetta Rende, a newcomer to Malta Fashion Week who presented a collection based around the concept of a deconstructed suit, challenging how we see formal wear. Rende’s collection showcased Italian elegance and flair, blending classic and contemporary designs that exuded sophistication. 

Gagliardi: Local Brand which has become a much-loved franchise

Following Rende’s showcase, the spotlight shifted to Gagliardi, a beloved local brand that has achieved international acclaim and success. Known for their sharp tailored looks, Gagliardi took a bold step by featuring both female and male models on the catwalk, embracing gender inclusivity and challenging traditional norms. The collection exemplified the brand’s signature style, expert tailoring and classic ideas but merging timeless sophistication with modern sensibilities, to the delight of the audience.

Charles and Ron: Local Duo Stealing the Red Carpet Spotlight

The evening reached its crescendo with a show by local celebrity favourites, Charles and Ron. The dynamic duo presented their winter collection, “Limestone Sunset,” which captured the essence of the Maltese landscape. Their designs, renowned for their unique prints and attention to detail, showcased the versatility of their craftsmanship and the duo’s ability to fuse fashion with art effortlessly. Charles and Ron once again proved why they are a red carpet favourite, captivating the audience with their exceptional creativity and style.

The night closed off with a number by local singer  Aidan.

The captivating Day 5 of Malta Fashion Week concluded with an exclusive afterparty sponsored by Campari. Attendees indulged in the delightful Campari Spritz cocktail while basking in the ambience of celebration and elegance.
