#MALTAFASHIONWEEK2022 – What a night! DAY 2 AT MALTAFASHIONWEEK 2022
What a night! DAY 2 AT MALTAFASHIONWEEK 2022 was held last night and it felt so good! We are halfway through Fashion Week now and it was lovely to see our amazing designers and fashionable guests! We had the pleasure of hosting Morfium, Blakkript and James Dimech.
Morfium from Serbia Fashion Week presented ‘Timeless’: Timeless was inspired by the Neolithic Vinca culture from Serbian territory. It’s about a time capsule of knowledge that our ancestors transmitted into the time that we are living in now. The Collection is also dedicated to the woman principal and Goddess concept, especially Queen Bee as a great mother and giver of life. The colours are mostly red, black, white and gold, replicating colours used in Vinca culture both in the past and present. Blakkript presented ‘Midnight City’ – expanding from the staple minimalistic Blakkript leather wear, the collection incorporates vibrant accents and bursts of prints whilst ensuring the highest quality and functionality of each garment.. The collection features hand-painted designs by local artist Roxanne and is nothing but bold, rebellious and daring Lead Hair Stylist: Neville Roman Zammit @ Nev Hair Salon
Following Blakkript, singer Maxine Pace treated us to a musical performance followed by artist James Dimech who presented ‘Paper Crazy’—made of 12 sculpted pieces showcasing the technicality of paper manipulation, exhibiting an unconventional sense of Fashion. Inspired by his architectural studies and passion for Origami, James Dimech chose to work with paper and recycled materials such as paper cotton, paper cord and packaging belts. Each piece is handmade in a process that might be described as analogue, featuring origami folds, accumulations of thousands of pieces of papers knotted together, and 3-dimensional geometric models. At the end of the night, guests were treated to an after-party at the Campari Spritz Lounge with Dj Panelli spinning the tunes. In attendance were various local and international influencers and guests bringing with them a trule love for art and fashion.
The Malta Fashion Week 2022 is organised by Adrian J Mizzi, supported by a Partnership Agreement for Large-Scale Events and Initiatives with the Valletta Cultural Agency within the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government. It is also supported by the Malta Tourism Authority believes that Malta Fashion Week can be an important gateway to position Malta as a destination for arts and culture.
And this way we close another day at Malta Fashion Week! It was an absolute pleasure.
