20 local fashion designers, members of The Malta Fashion Association, were given the opportunity by Kwalita’ Malta to showcase a sample from their collections in a specially designed pavilion during this fair on Friday 11th November 2016. The huge fashion pavilion which was around 200 sqr mtr, featured 3 mannequins dressed by each fashion designer, forming a walk through on black carpeting and white sheer material suspended from the ceiling which mimicked a museum show case.
These participating parties were also given the opportunity to showcase 3 other pieces in a catwalk fashion show that took place at the Mfcc petite. The design of this pavilion was taken care of by the Malta Fashion Week director – Adrian J Mizzi. This collaboration during the Kwalita’ Malta was supported by Malta Fashion Week & Awards, as an opportunity for local fashion designers, to have another platform to expose their talents and creations.
The Prime Minister of Malta, Dr. Joseph Muscat visited this fashion pavilion and met the designers while his wife Mrs Michelle Muscat attended the fashion show thereafter.
