Blogger reviews:
A common element was the use of small bikini bottoms which in general helps make the bum look smaller and ruching at the bust which gives a flattering shape. The styles in general are very figure flattering and should be able to work with a variety of different shapes and sizes.

The diversity of silhouettes utilised also ensures that there’s a number for every body type.

Tiffany’s collection included several flattery briefs and halter tops with a variety of colours from white to light blue to bright orange even to khaki and black. Apart from one coloured bikinis, a number of floral prints were used to give that summery feel to the bikinis.

Alexandra Serova
Alexandra Serova has created a collection of luxurious haute couture evening dresses with particular “tricks” to improve the looks of every woman’s figure.
The sequin dresses were very impressively tailored, creating the illusion of an hourglass figure on even the skinniest model. A standout piece was a gold short sequinned dress with black sides which made the waist appear tiny. Throughout the whole collection there was a lot of style versatility with some of the dresses being tight and rigid and others made entirely of floaty fabric giving the appearance of floating on air.

The designer opted for full-on femininity through the extensive use of sequins, lace, sheer fabric and plunging necklines.

There were a number of pieces that caught my eye, one of which a pink long sexy dress including a corset bodice and skirt made of pink silk adorned with beautiful floral designs embellished with crystals and sequins. Another dress which caught my eye was an exposed back dress which was fully embellished with crystals and sequins. I also liked that the sequin and crystals embellishments were also used to give an extra chicness to a simple dress such as a long sleeved orange dress which had crsytal embellishments on the arm of the sleeve.
All Things Fabulous
One particular piece struck me immediately, the only pink-coloured floor-length number. What really was striking about it was that the dress was sewn together at the back calling for a rather provocative back-tracing line.
Tiziana – Rouge Reveries
The glamorous and elegant gowns are the key element of this collection, mostly with see-trough materials being chiffon or lace. Details such as Swarovski crystals delicately embroidered and flowing ruffles. Every single one of her creations are aimed to flatter a women’s body.

Joe Callus Exclusive leather Designs
Joe is a veteran Maltese leather designer and tailor based in Sliema, Malta, that has taken his expertise to new heights with the launch of this new collection.
Modern shapes and trends were fashioned entirely out of beautiful soft leather often using bright block colours and the syles ranged from chic and smart fashion to punk and biker fashion. What was particularly interesting in one outfit, was the use of real leather to create a pvc-like dress.

A particular leather jacket zipped at the side with silver studs on the collar of the jacket caught my eye for the sleeve detail which had a number of studs and a zip detail, also a particular metallic dress caught my eye for an interesting side dip hem the designer incorporated.

Vassil played a lot with denim in this collection – that was anything but conventional.

Vassil Petriiski
Born in Bulgaria and now a naturalised Maltese resident via South Africa, Vassil Petriiski has left his mark on Maltese and European fashion with remarkable designs that go beyond the norm to create a bold fashion statement.
Denim, tartan, fur and funkiness are brought together in this collection and turned into something entirely unique and totally wacky. In this collection, nothing was as it should be, sleeves that weren’t sleeves, pockets that weren’t pockets, denim flowed into tartan and a huge men’s coat had a huge rolling stones logo emblazoned upon it.
Caroline’s Fashion Styling
Definitely not a collection that can be easily forgotten, Vassil Petrilski’s collection made us wonder whether we should bring out our Spice Girls era tartan skirts back. Well, there was a little Spice Girls panel on one of the pieces too…is that a sign?

A number of retro prints were used such as a Rolling Stones piece on a long male coat and retro floral prints. Female pieces were mostly denim based were a number of denim corsets, jeans and jackets together expect a particular two toned yellow tiger print corset and black dress.

Sergey Pugachev
Here is a fashion historian and prolific designer of weddings gowns, evening dresses, ballroom and cocktail dresses. He has created a unique collection of women’s corsets that are used as an artistic canvas with hand painted oil paintings and inliad with Swarowski crystals.
The dresses presented are the stuff little girl’s dreams are made of. There were princess dresses made from lovely silk fabric, lace dresses, beautiful two piece outfits consisting of corsets and full skirts – the detail on all dresses was impressive. Lots of little delicate beading was used throughout the entire collection, and something simple such as a line of pears sewn onto the dress in the pattern S helped make a plain white bridal dress become a truly stylish bridal dress.
Caroline’s Fashion Styling
As bridal gown after bridal gown went out on the catwalk, you could almost feel every lady in the audience trying to imagine herself in one of those gorgeous dresses. The silhouettes were evidently Grecian-inspired, with one-shoulder necklines and tunic style dresses paired with flat sandals, but there was also a strikingly futuristic-looking dress with a halter neckline and a lifted collar which stood in contrast to the rest. The skirts went from simple draped ones to a full-blown skirt for the final piece, and the bodices – the star aspect of the collection, if you ask me – were like a cradle for elaborate detail, including marvelous designs hand painted with oil-based colours.

This collection has a dream like and fairy feel was was absolutely stunning! A number of unique corsets are used as an artistic canvas with hand painted oil paintings inlaid with swaroski crystals graced the runway in this unique collection.
All Things Fabulous
The pieces had a Grecian vibe, although they often stuck to their Russian roots with oil-based paintings on ornate corsets and beautiful colouring.
Tiziana – Rouge Reveries
From huge fairy tale like gowns to A lines, there was one for everyone. White, ivory with a touch of delicate blue, diamond details – all so romantic! The evening gowns where nothing less, with hand painted details on the corsets – Sergey Pugachev is a true artist.

Pippa Toledo
With over 20 years experience across the artistic industries, the name Pippa Toledo has become synonymous with originality, passion, and vision. Pippa Toledo is not only widely recognised as Malta`s most accomplished interior designer, with an unparalleled portfolio of successfully completed projects both locally and overseas, she is also a talented artist and has made her mark on the fashion industry in Malta and abroad.
The bags are lovely, bright colours, different sizes, subtle patterns and big bows are some of their main characteristics. A common style of bag was mainly prevalent throughout the collection, these seemed to be made from a velvet-like fabric. There were also some bags with detailed jewel adorning.
The jewellery is where Pippa’s originality seems to shine through most, whilst the bags and dresses are beautiful, the shapes and styles tend to follow more conservative trends, the jewellery on the other hand totally breaks most of the rules pf normality we are familiar with. Yellow gold was the metal colour of choice and lots of big bold coloured stones were used. Huge circle earrings descend into chandelier earrings, necklaces larger than life, these are definitely not for any shrinking violets.
Caroline’s Fashion Styling
It was truly a case of ‘leaving the best for last’, since Pippa Toledo’s mind-blowing collection was of a traffic-stopping nature! Whereas the garments deserve an applause and a shout-out in their own right… Even though each piece was very similar to the rest, there was still a slight difference in each and every one of them. I love how gold was the main metal used for the jewellery, since I evidently tend to tilt towards that side of life. In spite of their statement-making quality, I still find these pieces incredibly wearable, especially during the warm Summer months!
Lara Boffa – Boffism
Pippa’s collection was stylish and unique and I could see myself wearing these pieces especially since I usually like to keep my style very simple and pairing it with a bold accessory to give my outfit an extra edge.
All Things Fabulous
Pippa Toledo’s collection was my favourite. There’s no going around it. The colours were bold, vibrant and everything was classy but fun – exactly my cup of tea. Jewel tones took centre-stage, an aspect which I admired and velvet was the the predominant fabric.
Tiziana – Rouge Reveries
The costume jewellery sets displayed tonight were lavish and can be worn anywhere – from a wedding to a wild night. All neckpieces were teamed well with a set of matching, dangling earrings and a bracelet. The bags had mainly bold colours and were made of velvet material, very practical and stylish – cant wait to own one!
